Incredibly high data transfer rates from modern drives can have a downside: increased EMI (electro-magnetic interference). This isn’t usually serious enough to worry the casual PC user, but as anyone who has tried to use a PC as a hi-fi component will tell you, the effect on audio quality from an adjacent sound card can be surprisingly detrimental.

Their answer is an in-line PCB filter which requires no software drivers or extra wiring - simply plug in and go. The SATA Electrical Noise Filter II is the second revision of their original product and offers increased filtering and smoothing. It is very effective at blocking electrical noise from any hard drive, optical drive or solid state disk. For best results, we recommend that a filter is attached to every drive in a PC system. The filter is designed to be connected directly to the drive and then the SATA power and data cables are connected to the filter.
